The 2015 Schedule has been posted

Well, thanks to some very generous cutters and some guys that were very good sports, we had a great show and benefit for our 1st Annual Cuttin' for the Cure. With all of our fundraising, we donated $10,417.00 to the Florida Hospital Deland Foundation. This was a success beyond our expectations and we were very proud to be able to contribute to such a good cause. Many thanks to all who helped make this a success. And again, a great cookout was done by Kathy and Danny Carbaugh. Don't know what we would do without them! We hope to have this again next year but we are really going to have to think hard to come up with something to top this year. Keep your eyes open for a two page photo spread in the next issue of the Chatter. We not only helped a great cause, but FCHA is going to get some good publicity from this, thanks to Marybeth Gokee, writer for the magazine.

Additional stories will also be featured in the Deland newspaper and put on wire services to be picked up.

We had a great Ladies Only Class, thanks to some brave girls, and some generous donors for the gifts we awarded. I hope to have a sign listing all of them at the next show.

Our last show of the year will be the Kayo Welles Memorial Cutting. It is on Oct. 31, Nov 1, and Nov 2. The weather is finally cooling off, so let's finish the year with a great show in honor of one of the best friends the Florida Cutting Horse Association has ever had.

If you have any changes or suggestions you would like the Board of Directors to consider for next year, please email me at as soon as possible. I will see that they are discussed at the next meeting, and as always, everyone is welcome to attend the meetings. We will also be having an election soon for next year's officers, so if anyone is interested in serving please contact me or Pam Scott.

See you at the cutting,

Sharon Overstreet

2014 President
